In all seriousness sunshine does not make me happy and rain does not make me sad! There are of course parts of the world where people celebrate if it rains. I enjoy the contrast of the seasons.
I do find people become more selfish in the summer: noisy parties, noisy out-door BBQ's, driving with music pumping out of there car windows, kids being allowed to scream and shout in gardens in the name of play.
In the UK many of the beaches and even parks can become unbearably crowded on a sunny weekend, unless they are truly remote - not to mention the gridlock that sunshine brings.
The winter is always somewhat more peaceful.
Oh dear, I gather you like your peace and quietI do agree with you, we have bbq's all year long, this doesnt always mean family gatherings, party and certainly not any kind of music outside, its just a different way of cooking your meal at the end of the day, when I lived in Canada, people would bbq even in the snow, they would stand inside their garage cooking the steaks
My daughter works evenings and is sleeping whilst the rest of us are awake, she gets furious with the children screaming outside but I tell her we cant compain because its daytime hours but she is not a happy camper
I wont use the word s.a.d because I think it is over used but I definitely feel happier when the sun shines and I dont really like it when it gets dark at 4pm but it does make you appreciate all of the 4 seasons doesnt it.
Regards
Lynn
