windows vista installation cd will not boot

A few months ago i have installed Ubuntu over windows, so that i only had Ubuntu, because i like working with it.

My problem is that i have a specific CD that can only be used in windows, so i wanted to reinstall windows with a windows vista installation CD, but it will not execute.

I have enough space to install windows vista, but it just will not boot. I also have tried to reset BIOS settings, but this didn't work.
